For a blog that I haven’t updated in almost 2 years, people sure like to spam the comments. Here’s some news for you guys; NO ONE READS THIS!

Anyways I’ve made it my new years resolution to write more. Here and just in general. Lets see, it’s June 15th, so it only took me 6 months to get on that. The past few years I’ve felt very closed, I think it was driving me insane. Almost all creativity had been drained and my shit almost went down the crapper.

Well now I’m back. I’ve had some huge wake up calls in the past few months and I’m fucking tired of being cooped up. I hope to keep updating, but I might be moving in the next few weeks or so, I need to get out. How far out is hard to say, I’m seriously thinking about just picking up and moving to a new city. I love San Diego but it’s expensive. I dunno though, maybe just moving a few miles will help me clear my head a bit more.

Oops, rambling. Anyways there’s a show tonight and I’m still not sure if I’m going to go see it. If anyone sees the Liar of the Minotaur show up at the jumping turtle and somehow reads this, let me know how it was. That is of course, only if I wind up missing it.

Long weekend. Went to LA with some friends. For the record, I will never ever travel alone with a new couple. Gah. Anyways we went up there for the Otto Van Shirack (spelling?) and Venetian Snares show at the Knitting Factory. It was alright, however Otto was just too much for me. I listen to some weird extreme shit, but that was a bit over the top, Venetian Snares was pretty cool. it’s hard for me to listen to a lot of that type of music. I think it’s something to do with the sudden breaks in thought. I really like it live though.

On the other side was Faun Fables playing though, I’m not much for that weird folky stuff, but Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is one of my favorite bands so I kind of wish we’d stayed over there. We were getting cash from the ATM and I was trying to figure out why the dude next to me looked so familiar, I thought he kind of looked like James Hetfield from Metallica. Turns out it was Nils from the afore mentioned SGM, sorry Nils!

Highlight of the trip though was the Hollywood Wax Museum on Hollywood Blvd. Some of the sculptures, mannequins, whatever, were really good. However, I can count those on one hand. Most of the rest were just horrible abominations. I don’t know if someone is just trying to fuck with these celebs or what. I think our consensus was that if you see them from one angle, and only one angle with the perfect lighting that they would be dead on accurate representations. Every other angle seems to make them ghoulish and freaky. I’ll post a link to the camera pics when they get uploaded.

I think I’m done for now. Maybe I can think of some other stuff that happened on the trip, that was just the latter half.
